Standard Endorsement Series #1

Many of our valued clients have inquired about the meaning behind our standard endorsements featured on our Policy wordings.

As it may not always be possible to update these wordings regularly, we often endorse them with corrections, enhancements, clarifications, and exclusions - all sorts of helpful additions!

So today is the first of our Standard Endorsement series where we give you a little explanation of what the endorsement does, for anyone who is a little unsure.

Today we will summarise:

UE0517 - DUAL New Zealand Jurisdictional Exclusion Endorsement.

Put simply, this is a broad exclusion intended to remove cover for any claim in anyway connected with the War in Ukraine. The key note here is to read through to the defined Territories and Entities section, which will give the scope of the endorsement a lot more clarity.

Once you do this, you will see where it is intended to apply, and that it does not tie back the full policy Territory to Jurisdiction as you might assume on first glance.

Keep your eyes peeled for the next instalment in this series, coming your way soon!
